Accelerating Progress on AIDS and Maternal and Child Health

The focus of this brief is on the important contributions that financing for AIDS are having in improving maternal and child health, particularly in Africa, the challenges faced by women and children in the developing world will not be solved by any one – or even a set – of interventions. It will be achieved by ensuring that financing for all health MDGs is adequate, effectively coordinated with other development efforts, and meets the day to day realities of women struggling to maintain their own health and those of their families.
