Strategic Framework

Through extensive consultations with community partners and leaders, ICASO has developed a set of strategic directions to shape how we work for the period 2012-16.  These directions are set out within a new Strategic Framework document, alongside our clearer vision and renewed mission.

During the past decade, the world has made significant progress in mobilizing international funding for HIV. Compared to ten years ago, the HIV effort has built unprecedented institutional capacity to promote health and human rights. Millions of people now have access to effective HIV treatment and prevention options.

Over the years that ICASO has been mobilizing and supporting community sector organisations, it is clear that the communities are the ones driving many of the important responses and debates on national and international policies and programs.  While ICASO has increasingly become a visible and recognized community sector leader, it is important that ICASO renews its efforts to assist in this global mobilization to ensure the community sector itself continues to shape the global AIDS agenda and architecture.

Through a rigorous months-long process, they created a bold new strategy to guide the organization for the next five years.
