Advocacy for Accountability: combine cutting-edge community-based research and empowered leaders to identify and create strategic advocacy entry points for strengthening national and global responses to HIV and AIDS.
ICASO has several years experience using national, regional and international policy and decision-making processes to ensure community evidence is reflected in policy and funding commitments.
ICASO and its regional partners can then participate in or convene global and regional policy dialogue sessions, linking CBOs, government and multilateral agencies on HIV prevention, funding and technical support. This is done in partnership with key networks and organizations and utilizes established opportunities, such as the regional and international AIDS conferences. This includes involvement on multilateral boards (such as the Global Fund and UNAIDS) UNAIDS reference and working groups and High Level Meetings and committees.
