EHRN Info note 'Overview of the Global Fund Transitional Funding Mechanism (TFM) for countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia'

At the 25th Board meeting of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (the Global Fund), held from November 21 to 22, 2011 in Accra (Ghana), it was decided to cancel the 11th round of grants due to the lack of funds. At the same meeting, a decision was made to create the Transitional Funding Mechanism (TFM), designed to allocate limited available resources for the continuation of programs that provide essential services in the area of prevention, treatment and care and are currently supported by the Global Fund.
